Remember when one mid-major coach reached out to LiAngelo Ball last December? And remember how the college basketball world briefly flirted with the possibility of Lavar Ball, the Big Baller Himself, on the sidelines of say, a random Stephen F. Austin or UNLV game?
There’s a chance that dream will become reality. And no, it won’t involve Jeff Goodman, LiAngelo or LaMelo returning from Lithuania.
Chino Hills senior Andre Ball — cousin of Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball — signed his National Letter of Intent with Pepperdine today. Ball, a 6’7 forward, averaged 15 ppg in a 26-11 season for the Huskies, who won the CIF Division-I title over Las Lomas.

Ball, a three-star recruit and 25th in the state of California, per ESPN, had offers from local mid-major Long Beach State as well, according to Verbal Commits. The forward verbally committed to Pepperdine on Mar. 31 in the wake of the Lorenzo Romar hire.
Ball expected to be one of at least four players in Pepperdine’s incoming freshman class.
Of course, this begs the question: Will Pepperdine students see yet another celebrity in the stands at Firestone Fieldhouse?
