tournament
The event will take place from November 19 through November 21 in the Cayman Islands with a traditional eight team bracket. The event was won last year by Cincinnati.
At first glance, it’s an overall interesting field. You have high major teams that made the tournament last year with Clemson and Creighton. There’s Georgia State and St. Bonaventure representing tournament teams from the mid-major ranks, while Illinois State and Boise State have come close in recent years as well. And of course, there’s Georgia with the newly hired Tom Crean.
It looks like it’ll be a good opportunity for the mid-majors to pick up some quality wins against both mid-major and high-major foes.
