When a five-star recruit commits to high-major programs, fans of programs like Duke, Kentucky or North Carolina probably smile, shrug their shoulders and wait for three more five-star recruits to commit before getting excited. But when a five-star recruit commits to one of the best mid-major programs in the nation? Now that’s cause for celebration.
Five-star center Jordan Brown verbally committed to Nevada this morning, and everyone from the coaching staff to Nevada students are going bonkers. Going into work or school on a Friday can be mildly exciting with the weekend around the corner, but this is next-level stuff:

Nevada fans have plenty of reasons to be this excited. With five now-eligible transfers and two freshmen on next season’s roster, the Wolf Pack look incredibly loaded — and this isn’t factoring in potential returners Caleb Martin, Cody Martin and Jordan Caroline, who were all-MWC first team selections last season. Regardless of who decides to turn pro next season, the Wolf Pack are bound to be must-see television.
In fact, we at Mid-Major Madness were so inspired by everyone’s enthusiasm that we recorded our own reaction videos:
