The Other Top 25: We’re a Wofford blog now

The Terriers are an at-large lock.

NCAA Basketball: Wofford at Kansas Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Wofford is the new No. 2 team in The Other Top 25. It is also the highest-ranked true mid-major in the poll and is behind only AP No. 1 Gonzaga at the top.

That’s the world we live in, and we love it.

And the Terriers are going to the NCAA Tournament. They’re going to win the SoCon Tournament, but even if something crazy happens and they’re upset, they’re getting in. Wofford is 21-4 with three quadrant 1 wins and no losses outside of quad 1. And only one loss at home. And no losses to non-Power 5 teams.

The Terriers have done enough.

With Nevada’s loss this week, Wofford takes its spot, while the Wolf Pack stay ahead of Buffalo by just six points.

There aren’t many big shifts in this week’s poll, but it’s worth noting that Old Dominion (Or ODU, if you prefer) moved up seven spots thanks to six straight wins and a victory over Western Kentucky to being CUSA bonus play.

Check out the full poll below. We will not be accepting @s at this time.
