NOTE: This week’s rankings take into account all games through Sunday. Results from games played on Monday will be included in next week’s poll.
In case you’ve missed 80 percent of what we’ve been saying over the last week, it’s officially BUBBLE WATCH SZN!
That means it’s time to argue over how to interpret mid-major resumes that may have a ton of wins but not a ton of substance to them. Voters in The Other Top 25 have made their opinions clear: Wofford, Buffalo, and Lipscomb are for real. We’ve debated their resumes enough and their names have even seeped into the national NCAA discussion. But for now, those schools can take comfort in knowing they’re all in the top six of The Other Top 25.
As for Wofford, the Terriers overtook Buffalo this week as they improved to 11-0 in the SoCon and have not lost since Dec. 19. The Bulls fell to Bowling Green and dropped a spot in the poll, but are still in a good spot for an at-large bid (if necessary) with no true bad losses and some Power 5 wins.
Yes, that means Bowling Green also enters the poll, coming in at No. 23. The Falcons’ early season losses to Cleveland State, Hartford, and Detroit are distant memories as they’ve reeled off 11 wins in 12 games.
