What’s better than a Thursday full of March Madness games? How about a Friday full of March Madness games.
Friday’s action gets started with some Power 5 matchups, but provides some potential for an upset early in the afternoon with UC Irvine and Kansas State. Gardner-Webb will get its shot at No. 1 Virginia later in the afternoon as the Hoos attempt to halt their one-game losing streak to 16 seeds. Buffalo will get the winner of Arizona State and St. John’s to cap off the early session.
In the evening, we’ll get the lead Turner crew of Jim Nantz, Grant Hill and Bill Rafterty on the call for Duke and the winner of North Carolina Central and North Dakota State. That game will be followed by a defensive showdown between UCF and VCU. Saint Louis and Virginia Tech will cap off the opening round with a late night matchup San Jose.
