Death, taxes, South Dakota State (14-2) being the team to beat in the Summit League Tournament. The Jackrabbits won the Summit League title outright, and will be the No. 1 seed in Sioux Falls for the second consecutive year. They’re in search of their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance, and will be considered the favorite in the league’s postseason tournament until proven otherwise.
Omaha (13-3) rode a program record 19 wins to the No. 2 overall seed and will be matched up with North Dakota, who is in their first season as a member of the conference. Purdue Fort Wayne (9-7) and North Dakota State (9-7) round out the top four seeds.
Denver finished in ninth place in the regular season and did not qualify for the conference tournament.
