Our own Chris Schutte put it best when he described Wofford’s style earlier on Twitter:
Wofford rules because their offense is essentially just trying to splash a three in the defender's eye on every possession.

For those who have watched any amount of Wofford Terriers basketball this season, the above statement will ring true. Tonight, it was indeed the game plan as the Terriers took on the Seton Hall Pirates, as Wofford drained 13 threes en route to an 84-68 victory.
From the outset, Wofford was content to shoot from pretty much anywhere besides the paint in order to score, using their superb three-point shooters to jump out to an early lead over Seton Hall. The Terriers wound up hitting five shots from behind the arc in the first half, using that offensive boon to take a 40-30 lead into the break.
Among all of this, a great deal of attention was placed on Fletcher Magee, who was close to breaking the NCAA record for career three-pointers made.
He did so on a made shot right out of the gate in the second half.
However, things began to tighten in the second half as Myles Powell began to get into the ballgame. A player of his caliber couldn’t be expected to go silent all night, and his 19 second half points illustrate that detail exactly.
Yet, even as Seton Hall managed to retake the lead with just under eight minutes to play, Wofford’s shooters began to get out of their second half slump, hitting three consecutive three-pointers, propelling them to a 10-point lead that gave them a comfortable cushion until the final whistle.
For Wofford, tonight’s game represented the team’s 30th win this year, and the dream season will continue with a Saturday matchup against 2-seed Kentucky. If Wofford desires to make the Sweet 16, they’ll need to make sure those long range buckets keep falling against a Kentucky team whose three-point defense leaves much to be desired.
