Once again, John Becker and Co. are the class of the America East, claiming the top seed in the America East Playoffs for the third consecutive year. The Catamounts (14-2) will be looking for their third straight title game appearance and second NCAA Tournament bid during that stretch.
Stony Brook (12-4) claimed the No. 2 seed in a breakout out year for Jeff Boals and the Seawolves, whose 24 total wins is tied for the most in the conference. Last year’s March darling UMBC slides into the No. 3 seed, and it should be noted that the Retrievers handed Vermont their only losses of conference play with a season sweep.
Hartford rounds out the top four, making it a second straight year above .500 after a three-year stretch of subpar play. New Hampshire finished in ninth place and did not qualify for the playoffs.
