Can you beat the Mid-Major Madness staff in The Jerome?

Here are our staff picks for everybody’s favorite March game.

NCAA Basketball: Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship Bradley vs UNI Joe Puetz-USA TODAY Sports

There are a few moments in each college basketball season that elicit universal joy across the college basketball landscape.

Opening night in November. Greg Gumbel welcoming us to Selection Sunday. That very first game of the NCAA Tournament.

But above all else, nothing sends the college basketball internet into a frenzy like when that first email for The Jerome hits the inbox.

For the uninformed, The Jerome is an annual game in which you simply try to pick the winners of each conference tournament. It’s a ton of fun and, quite frankly, you’re a nerd if you don’t play. You have until 6 p.m. to get your picks in for the first wave of tournaments.

Naturally, as “experts” on the mid-major conferences of college basketball, our staff LOVES this game. Here are some of our staff’s picks for first round of conference tournaments.

Think you know more than us? Prove it.

We’re all in on #2BidSoCon, and only John Templon was brave enough to go against the chalk in the WCC. North Florida garnered a strong contingent of votes in the ASUN, and we think Arch Madness is going to come down to Northern Iowa or Loyola Chicago. #2BidValley anyone?

Conference tournaments tip off tonight, so make sure you get those picks in.
