The James Madison Dukes will replace Matt Brady with JMU alum and Bowling Green assistant Louis Rowe. JMU athletic director Jeff Bourne announced the hire today:
"As we worked through the search process and spoke with a distinguished pool of coaches, it became clear that Louis was the best fit to lead our student-athletes at James Madison. Louis has been connected to success at JMU both as a student-athlete and as a coach. Following a long, successful professional career overseas, he started as a college assistant at JMU."
Rowe has also spent time as an assistant at Rider, FIU, and most recently Bowling Green.
JMU fired Matt Brady after an eight year career where he went 138-125 and lead the Dukes to the NCAA Tournament in 2013. The Dukes went 20-9 this past season but had a disappointing appearance in the CAA Tournament.
A press conference is schedule at JMU for next Tuesday, April 5.
