We posted earlier today that Mark Price was the frontrunner to replace Brian Gregory at Georgia Tech. Price responded today with a release from the school saying he is withdrawing his name from consideration for the Yellow Jackets' position.
In a release from the school Price said:
"I wish my alma mater Georgia Tech well in its search for a new head coach. I am committed to the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball program. I am excited and very encouraged by the progress that we made this past season. We are very appreciative of the great support that our program has received from the University, the athletic department, the community, and the fans of Niner Nation."
"I am excited about the players that we have returning to our team and the progress that they made this past season. I am also excited about the players that we are adding to our team and what they will provide for our program moving forward. I feel that the future is bright as we continue to build something special here at Charlotte."
