We're not sure yet who did this or why, but boy is it impressive. Not as impressive as the actual bench mob, but still. Pretty impressive. This pic was tweeted by Bench Mob member Daniel Pillari. Another pic: https://twitter.com/MonmouthBench/status/749997181214437376
Saint Louis freshman forward Elliott Welmer revealed on his Twitter account that he will be out 4 months with a stress fracture in his foot. A tough blow to a depleted Billikens front line that lost John Manning and Grandy Glaze to graduation. The Bills will now turn to Milik Yarbrough, Reggie Agbeko, Brett Jolly and new freshman center Matt Neufeld to carry the load.
Odd abbreviation for Wichita State by Charles Barkley, since the letters in Wichita don't actually appear in this order. This is why "In The Annapolis" is so funny. (H/T @ShockerHoops)
Not sure what Joe Lunardi slipped in his coffee this morning, but he had the St. Francis Red Flash into the Field of 68! They are listed as a 9-seed, so safely in despite a 16-15 record and a 9-9 mark in the Northeast Conference. Ballsy pick Joe, especially since the tournament champion Robert Morris got sent to Dayton. That's Bracketology at its finest!
Contenders? You bet. Northern Iowa has landed itself on the Sports Illustrated cover. Now let's just hope there is no jinx.
We love to look at the ESPN College Gameday analysts make mistakes when they pick in the annual player draft. With the added twist this season that player wins and losses will result in a 10-point swing, it would seem even more important to pick a good player on a front-running team in a non-major conference. But no. Four players were selected though: A.J. English, Iona Gaels Seth Tuttle, Northern Iowa Panthers Tyler Haws, BYU Cougars Kyle Wiltjer, Gonzaga Bulldogs We will see if any of these analysts regret not looking deeper on the draft list.
