Loyola Chicago Freshman Matt Chastain is out for the year with an ACL tear, per head Coach Porter Moser's Twitter. Matt suffered the tear on Monday night against Alcorn State while he was playing defense. Moser described Chastain as a "high-fly athlete" and an "elbows-above-the rim" player. This is a tough loss for Loyola in their frontcourt.

He has the Bulldogs as a 4 seed and the WCC champions, sending them to Salt Lake City to play UAB in the First Round. Saint Mary's, meanwhile, is a 5 seed, headed to Tulsa to play the First Four winner of Notre Dame-SMU. Sam Vecenie recently released his updated 2016 NBA Draft board and the mid-majors found themselves well represented. In total, five players appeared in Draft range, highlighted by Domantas Sabonis, DeAndre' Bembry, Kay Felder, Pascal Siakam, and Fred VanVleet who were all in the top 60 players. Realistically, it wouldn't be surprising to see more than five mid-major players selected on Draft night.
