TUESDAY
East Carolina vs Savannah State
After falling behind by 15 with 14 minutes to play, East Carolina trailed by only one with just 13 seconds left, as Miguel Paul stepped to the line for the Pirates with a chance to give his team the lead. Paul made both from the charity stripe and after a Savannah State turnover, ECU had their first post-season win in five appearances.
Rider vs Hartford
Led by 23 points from Anthony Miles, Rider pulled off a road win in the first round of the CIT. In a game that was much closer that the final score would indicate, there were nine lead changes. While shooting 61% from the field, the Broncs took the lead last and advanced to round 2.
Youngstown State vs Oakland
Youngstown State set a school record for three pointers on Tuesday night, knocking down 18 triples. Even with the sharp shooting of Youngstown State, Oakland led at halftime by one. But when a team shoots 18 of 35 from three it's hard to hang on and get the victory, and the Penguins advance.
Loyola Maryland vs Boston University
Loyola MD was another team who trailed by as many as 15 on Tuesday night, only to rally back in the second half and steal one. Anthony Winbush hit a three with just under 6 minutes to play to give Loyola Maryland a one point lead. After giving the lead back to Boston Dylan Cormier buried a three to give the Greyhounds a two point lead with just over three minutes to play. The Greyhounds would get some defensive stops on Boston's final possessions to advance to round two.

WEDNESDAY
Kent State vs Fairfield
Providing us with the first buzzer beater of March Madness, it's Kent State's Randal Holt. With the game tied 71-71, Holt drove all the way to the basket and threw in a running lay-up with just three seconds left to push the Golden Flashes into round 2. Kent State will take on Loyola Maryland, Sunday at 3.
Canisius vs Elon
Led by Harold Washington's 19 points, Canisius made the most of their first post-season appearance in 17 years by blowing out Elon 69-53. Canisius had five players reach double figures as they advance to the Sweet 16 of the CIT.
Northern Iowa vs North Dakota
In the battle to see which state had the better northern school, it was the Panthers who came out victorious. Anthony James pitched in a game high 24 points. North Dakota could not get closer than nine points as UNI advances to play in the second round.
Bradley vs. Green Bay
Bradley trailed by 10 at 49-39 with a little under 13 minutes to play in the game. However, Bradley's 51 point second half proved to be too much for Green Bay as they squandered the lead and exit the tournament, with a 7 point loss to Bradley. With the win Bradley (17-16) now guarantees themselves at least a .500 season.
Tulane vs South Alabama
1996 was the last time Tulane won a post-season tournament game. Last night, the Green Wave was led by 26 points from Josh Davis as they pulled away from South Alabama to advance to the second round. They will face Bradley on Saturday at 8 ET.
Illinois-Chicago vs Chicago State
In a battle of the Windy City, UIC built a 16 point halftime lead and held off a Chicago State rally to advance to play Northern Iowa in the second round of the CIT. It was UIC's first ever postseason win as they were led by a double double from Daniel Barnes who scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Chicago State rallied in the second half to cut the lead to 5 but UIC hit all 10 of their free throws in the final 3 minutes to secure the win.
Oral Roberts vs UT-Arlington
The Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts saw their 20+ lead get cut all the way down 7. Some good shooting from the charity stripe, though, allowed Oral Roberts to escape with the win. The Golden Eagles were led by Warren Niles' 24 points.
Weber State vs Cal-Poly
Weber State put this game away early and almost doubled up Cal Poly on the final score. Weber State benefited from their 67% shooting from the field to advance to the second round. Scott Bamforth hit 7 three pointers and poured in 23 points to lead Weber State.
UC Irvine vs High Point
UC Irvine, led by Will Davis' 32 points, used 6 straight free throws in the final minute and change to escape with a first round win over High Point. High Point took the lead with 9:45 to play and cut within one with just over 4 minutes to play but could not get over the hump again. UCI will play Oral Roberts on Sunday.
Air Force vs Hawaii
Air Force took the lead with a Todd Fletcher three pointer with over 17 minutes to play and never looked back. Hawaii cut it to 3 with under a minute to play. But Hauns Brereton's three pointer would not fall and the Falcons held on with a 70-65 win over Hawaii.
