SATURDAY

Evansville vs. Eastern Kentucky

The Colonels kept it close and through the first 20 minutes had played even with the Purple Aces. However, Evansville matched their 43 point first half performance with another 43 point second half and EKU could not keep up. With the EKU loss, the curtain closes on their winning-est season in school history and the 2012-2013 OVC basketball season. Evansville will play Canisius at 7:00 PM ET tonight.

East Carolina vs Rider

With the help of Maurice Kemp's career high 15 boards and 20 points, East Carolina rolled over the Rider Broncs. Rider hit a three pointer that cut the lead to four at 45-41 but that is as close as it would get. With the home crowd showing lots of support for their Pirates, ECU went on a 24-3 in over a nine minute span, sealing the game. East Carolina will play Loyola MD tonight at 7:00 ET.

Canisius vs Youngstown State

In the tournaments first overtime game, Canisius stole a victory from Youngstown State. With just under 20 minutes to play in the game, the Golden Griffins trailed by 22 points. They then went on a remarkable 20-0 run to get back into the game and push it to overtime. Canisius junior, Billy Baron scored 26 of his 30 points in the second half and overtime and also hit the game winning free throws with 2.1 ticks left after being fouled on a three point attempt.

Bradley vs Tulane

With one minute remaining in the game, Will Egolf a six-year senior for Bradley, knocked down a huge three to put the Braves ahead and send Tulane home. Egolf finished with a double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Bradley had to overcome a 10 point first half deficit to advance to the quarterfinals, where they will take on Northern Iowa.

Northern Iowa vs Illinois-Chicago

Illinois-Chicago let a game in which they led 43-41 with under 9 minutes to play, slip away in the final minutes. Northern Iowa went on a 12-0 to get the largest lead of the second half and cruise to a 12 point win. Although the lead was cut to five a couple of times, it never got any close than that. After a technical foul was assessed, UNI was able to put the game away with only a minute to play.

Weber State vs Air Force

Weber State sure is playing like the favorite right now. The Wildcats, coming off of a 42 point thrashing that they handed to Cal Poly, blew out Air Force by 21. The win gave Weber State their 28th victory of the season, the most in school history. With over six thousand fans in attendance, Weber State shot 54% from the field and buried 10 three pointers. They will try to continue their hot streak when they play Oral Roberts tomorrow night at 9 ET.

SUNDAY

Loyola MD vs Kent State

Kent State pulled withing seven in the second half but that was as close as it would get for the Golden Flashes. Erik Etherly's double-double was highlighted by his outstanding shooting at the free throw line. Etherly hit 17 of his 19 attempts paving the way for a 27 point game to go along with his 11 rebounds. Loyola MD advance to play East Carolina tonight at 7 ET.

MONDAY

Oral Roberts vs UC Irvine

Steve Roundtree led the way for Oral Roberts with his 21 points and 13 rebounds as this game got ugly, early.
