Kay Felder could probably earn player of the week honors every week with the way he has been stuffing the stat sheet this season. For the year he is averaging 24.6 points and 8.9 assists, along with almost two steals per game.
So this week probably seems like just any old week for Felder, but it is a prime example of why he is one of the best players in college basketball, just continuing his hot streak from last season.
On Monday, Oakland beat Binghamton behind 25 points from Felder. He added seven assists and four steals in the win.
He followed that performance Saturday with 34 points in a 76-64 win over Toledo. During that game, he went 3-for-5 from 3-point range and was a perfect 13-for-13 at the free throw line. That is on top of six assists and three steals in the victory.
For the week, he shot 46 percent from the field, and was 20-for-21 at the free throw line.
He has a chance to continue his strong season Saturday at Washington.
