In the middle of some amazing offensive performances this week, there was one player who had two of the most impressive offensive performances of the year in the course of just a single week.
Chris Horton dominated inside against North Florida on Wednesday, and almost was enough to carry the Governors to a win over the Osprey. Horton scored 28 points on 68.4 percent shooting. He also added 17 rebounds, a block and three steals.
If that wasn't good enough, he was even better against Lipscomb on Sunday. Horton would miss just one shot from the floor, finishing 16-for-17, and scoring 37 points. He grabbed 13 rebounds for his ninth double-double in a row, and tenth this season. He also had two assists, a block and a steal in the 92-84 win for the Governors.
For these two performances, Chris Horton is our player of the week.
Also considered: Jared Sam, Southern; Domantas Sabonis, Gonzaga; Wes Washpun, Northern Iowa; Trey Davis, UMass; Kay Felder, Oakland.
