After a wacky week in college basketball, there was a lot of movement within the AP Top 25. Some things remain the same though as the Kentucky Wildcats remained at the top after moving to 29-0.
The Wildcats are followed by Virginia, Duke, Villanova and Arizona.
Gonzaga's loss to BYU on Saturday night dropped the Bulldogs to No. 7 in the poll. They begin the WCC Tournament on Saturday as the top seed.
Wichita State's win over Northern Iowa jumped the Shockers to the No. 8 spot. With the win, Wichita State won the conference for the second year in a row, and will defend their tournament title beginning Friday.
Northern Iowa slipped just a single spot to No. 11. The Panthers will also be in action Friday in the MVC Tournament quarterfinals against the winner of the first round game between Drake and Bradley.
Murray State entered the poll for the first time this season at No. 25. The Racers beat Eastern Illinois and UT Martin to finish the Ohio Valley season at 16-0. They will begin the quest for the OVC automatic bid in the semifinals in Nashville on Friday.
Other teams from our coverage area receiving votes this week were Dayton (61), BYU (21), Davidson (18), Rhode Island (3), VCU (3), Valparaiso (2) and Stephen F. Austin (2).
