The top of the AP Poll remained fairly unchanged this week, with the Kentucky Wildcats again securing the top spot with all of the first place votes.
Duke and Virginia swapped spots at two and three, and Villanova and Arizona round out the top five.
Gonzaga remained at No. 7 this week with a win over San Francisco in the West Coast Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs take on Pepperdine in the semifinals Monday for a berth in the championship on Tuesday.
Northern Iowa's big comeback against Illinois State in the Missouri Valley Conference finals allowed the Panthers to move back into the top 10 this week. UNI's season is complete and they wait to find out where they will play in the NCAA Tournament.
Wichita State slipped four spots to No. 12 after losing to Illinois State in the Missouri Valley semifinals. It is pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Shockers will be in the NCAA Tournament, and the only question is what seed they will receive.
Davidson jumped into the AP Poll at No. 24 this week. The Wildcats beat VCU and Duquesne to win the Atlantic 10 conference, after being picked to finish last before the season. Davidson will be the No. 1 seed in the tournament beginning this week.
Other teams in our coverage area receiving votes this week were BYU (18), Stephen F. Austin (2), Valparaiso (1), Dayton (1) and North Florida (1).
