Charlotte rolled off one of their best weeks of what has been a very tough season, scoring wins over Marshall and Western Kentucky.
And while freshman Andrien White had a big game against Marshall, scoring 30 points, it was his fellow freshman Jon Davis who had the biggest impact in both wins.
Davis scored 21 points in a 103-95 win over Marshall, while shooting 8-for-10 from the floor. He added six rebounds and seven assists, along with two steals. He committed just two turnovers in the win, as he continues to improve on his ball handling during the conference season.
He then followed that up with 23 points in an 88-71 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday. He was 9-for-12 from the floor, including a stellar 4-for-6 from behind the arc. He added six more assists, two steals and a block, while committing just two turnovers again.
For his strong performance this week, Davis is our Mid-Major Madness Freshman of the Week.
Also considered: James Thompson IV, Eastern Michigan; Quayson Williams, The Citadel.
